Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah, an Indian actor and singer well-known for her work in Tamil as well as Malayalam films. Her acting debut was with the Tamil movie Pachaikili Muthucharam and also made her Malayalam debut with Annayum raolum. Andrea Jeremiah, born into an Anglo-Indian Family in Arakkonam Tamil Nadu. Andrea Jeremiah's father works as a lawyer in the Madras High Court. She has one younger sister who is a resident of Leuven Belgium as an assistant to research. Jeremiah lived in the vicinity of Chennai and attended National Public School before graduating from Women's Christian College. Andrea learned to play classical piano in her eighth year. In her twenties, she became an active member of the group called the Jackson Five Young Stars which formed the foundation of her musical and singing career. She performed as an actor at the college, in a variety of performances hosted by The Madras Players or EVAM. She was the President of the Student Senate at Women's Christian College. Andrea started her career in theatre through Girish Karnad's Nagamandala. She appeared in the Leo Coffee commercial alongside Shiva. She has also acted in a television show that airs on Podhigai. The actress has appeared all over India. She was in a short role at the end of Kanda Mudhal 2005. Gautham Vaisudev menon had her sing in the film Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu, then wanted her to take on the role of a female lead in Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea played Kalyani the housewife who's husband is involved in had an affair. She was threatened with a blackmail. Andrea was approached following Simran Shobana's death and Tabu. The film was released in the early part of 2010.
