Alison is a country and bluegrass artist. Her age was just teen when she began her journey into the world of music winning local competitions as early as 10 years of age and recording her first album at the age of fourteen years of age. In 1987, she dropped her debut solo album following signing with Rounder Records. After that, she was asked to be a part of Alison Krauss Union Station, which is the group she performs with. Her debut album together as a band came out in the year 1989.
